Other Adoption Organizations
Here are other organizations who might be able to help you offset the cost of your adoption:
- Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption - The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is a non-profit 501(c)3 public charity dedicated to dramatically increasing the adoptions of the more than 140,000 children in North America's foster care systems ready and waiting to be adopted.
- His Kids Too is a Christian non-profit international humanitarian aid organization that provides aid to orphans and widows in several countries. For parent(s) adopting international children, His KidsToo! provides an adoption grant of up to $2,000 for one child, and up to $4,000 for two children. Grants are paid directly to the agency or facilitation service (for independent adoptions, grants approved on a case-by-case basis.) Your adoption agency must be on their preferred list.
- Home for Good focuses on the adoption of older children, children with special needs, and sibling groups who have little or no hope of being adopted without their intervention. They offer resources, grants, loans and matching funds to encourage more families to adopt and to ensure the success of those who undertake adoption.
- Kingdom Kids - Kingdom Kids Adoption Ministries was established by Steve and Michelle Gardner in 2001 out of their desire to encourage the body of Christ to see adoption as a ministry. Kingdom Kids also helps families raise finances for adoption by developing a support team committed to praying for and contributing to adoption expenses.
- Life International offers "Matching Grants" to help mobilize your church, family, and friends to come alongside you and make an eternal investment in the life of an orphan child! They will match (dollar-for-dollar) the amount you raise up to a pre-determined amount. You may submit a Financial Assistance Application after your "dossier" is complete or when you have been matched with a specific child.
- The National Adoption Foundation provides financial support, information, and services for adoptive and prospective adoptive families in order to assist them in the successful adoption of children. Families can apply for outright grants from the foundation. The grant program is open to all legal adoptions including public or private agency adoptions, international, special needs or adoptions facilitated by an attorney.
- Shaohannah’s Hope - Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth, founded Shaohannah's Hope to reach the church with God’s call to care for orphans and to help more experience the miracle of adoption by reducing the financial barriers, primarily through awarding adoption grants.
